Privacy Policy

Trinity College Dublin (TCD) is committed to protecting the privacy of its users.

This Privacy Policy describes how TCD collects, uses, and discloses personal information that we collect from users of the TRACT - EV Research App.

The TRACT - EV Research App is part of a research study conducted by the School of Engineering at Trinity College Dublin about e-mobility trial.

This study is funded by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) to combat climate change and build a sustainable future. Specifically, this study is focussed on the uptake of electric vehicles (EVs) in Ireland. We plan to study weekly vehicle trips to inform users about the benefits that they could get if they switch to EVs such as emissions that can be reduced, costs that could be saved and much more. Additionally, we ask for some general demographic questions in a survey to categorize and better understand the data. The goal of the study is to analyse the feasibility of transiting to EVs considering real-world travel behaviours.
